This kind of slapstick probably happens to everyone now and then: I glanced out my window this morning to see a simply beautiful sunrise with a glow on the peak.  I grabbed my camera and realized I still had my macro setup, so quickly changed lens, focused and . . . nothing.  What?  Is this thing on?  Frame, focus, still no click.  Oh — my card was still in my laptop.  Quickly (but properly) remove, insert, frame, focus, click!  Of course, by this time the magical light had changed to a standard sunrise.  Still nice, but — oh! Some moments slip by so quickly.

And now, my husband has gone to bed while I am playing with my camera, my blog.  So I really must focus, and not miss the moments that bring magic, comfort, sweetness to our relationship.
